I'm sorry am I missing something here? Ram's quote is pretty much the same as yours DarwinDali.

It's been a tough day at work btw, so apologies if I missed the 'discrepancy', if it was a major one.

Yes, it's the same. But it's NOT from Charles Darwin as he says!

It's frustrating arguing in here isn't it?

The weight distribution is going to fixed too!!! Also We gots KERS..and we gots no Front wing adjustment, weak azz Pirreli's and we got a moveable rear wiiiing! So many changes! Can you say Massacre?

It is not the strongest of the species that survives, nor the most intelligent that survives. It is the one that is the most adaptable to change – Charles Darwin

Darwin is often quoted – and often misquoted. Here are some sayings regularly attributed to Darwin that NEVER flowed from his pen:

It is not the strongest of the species that survives, nor the most intelligent that survives. It is the one that is most adaptable to change.

In the struggle for survival, the fittest win out at the expense of their rivals because they succeed in adapting themselves best to their environment.

Supposedly from Origin of Species.

In fact the species changes are fortuitous. The species don’t adapt themselves to anything. That’s a mere coincidence that one of those changes fits better with the environment, then the new changed species succeed and the older one tends to disappear.
Other times the environment drastically changes and most of the species disappear. Then only survive those that by sheer chance fit with the new and absolutely different environment.
Those random changes billions of times repeated produce that the surviving species fit better and better with the environment, not at the contrary.
There is no will in the species to adapt themselves.
Charles Darwin was great because he was able to confront the religious, undisputed and universal truth just with his open mind, observation and the scarce instruments he had at that time, but I believe he has been millions of times not only misquoted, but misinterpreted.

Yes it’s me Burn. Welcome to the XXI century.

So it's a matter of who can apply the tools at his disposal to better effect then?

No, is about who has the necessary tools to survive in a changing environment. The rest sooner or later disappear.
But you don’t choose the tools to use, you just have them or not at the necessary moment.

It's like this one time, I needed to bust through a wall, and I happened to be the only guy there with a 16 lbs sledgehammer... so badabing badaboom I was like the survival of the biggest cojones guy.

I suppose that all the other guys went after you trough the wall, then this is not the case
Imagine, for example a forest with a species of bird that eat insects living in the threes. There are a lot of insects and the colony of birds grows fast because there is plenty of food for all of them. But as the birds become more and more numerous it arrives the year when, at the middle of the season, they have eaten all the insects that were at the threes except those that are hidden in the holes of the threes. There are some birds that have a little longer beak than the others. They can reach the insects inside the holes. All the others die. They survive and transmit his characteristic longer beak to their descendants.
It was a coincidence that they had a longer beak, but it was that what saved them, condemning the others to disappear.
There are a lot of examples to say and the thing is always fortuitous. Is the nature who choose who survives and who don’t, not the individuals efforts to adapt themselves to better fit with the environment.
Another thing. You should write "the biggest c**o**s guy", or so.

[F1er]

is that you JACK???

[Jack Master]

is that you JACK???

No, it’s you, but not the man with the moustache but the fly he has at his hand.

[Hammer278]

Jack, you're cool with me but sometimes I feel you need to buy a sense of humour.
