No he wouldn't have reacted like that at the first race of the season, but your trying to say Alonso reckoned if he'd been ahead of Petrov he would won the championship. Was he pissed of with Petrov harming his championship hopes, yeah, does that translate Petrov into being the be and end all of his championship hopes, I doubt it.

thank you. the rest of your post is mere deflection of the facts.

Did you honestly expect any of the drivers wouldn't be pissed of in that situation?

at the situation yeah, at a competitor for doing what they are out there to do... NO.

Do you think any f1 driver wouldn't be wishing for Petrov to just get out of the way? Petrov was quite clearly the obvious source to blame, and I don't see why you don't think his post race interview doesn't make amends. He was pissed off, let it out, and then reconsidered his position. Isn't that a better judge of character? Shows quite clearly he knows Petrov will drive his own race, people act differently when stressed.

That's ok if you want to defend his actions towards Petrov, just says more about you than anything.

I've already said it was wrong, to do what he did. There's a difference between condoning actions and explaining why they happened and that it isn't necessarily representative.

Again, is it really that big a deal? Angry gestures and words over a world championship loss, Alonso clearly showed a different mindset afterwards. What's this all worth? Pretty sure I've seen worse driver confrontations greeted with less moral outrage.

I'm sorry, fans. Alonso is a fantastic driver, no question about it, but he's also a vortex of problems and controversy no matter what team he is in. That speaks a lot about his personality, demeanor, and how he treats others and expects to be treated.

So if someone gives you the 'wave or finger' bud what do you do, fight them?

The vortex is just like a dance, it takes two to Tango. Actually WGAF about what the drivers do other than produce results, thats all the team cares about?

True, but it also takes someone to be really obnoxious to be in trouble or causing controversy everywhere.

What did he do to Minardi?

He was a rookie, that explains everything.

Well, care to explain it to me?

Lack of an inflated ego and sense of entitlement at that point.

Yet the vortex this forum feeds on is controversy, kinda redundant in the whole of things imo.

A few other drivers could be included in your list aswell not just Alonso  .

The only controversy Alonso has had was at McLaren. I’m pretty sure that Renault and Ferrari are more than happy for having had him as a driver, but as I can see you are unable to forget the McLaren affair. You’re blaming him for everything that happened at that time but I think there were many people involved who took wrong decisions as well.
