There's more chance of me driving for Ferrari than Hamilton going to Maranello, Hamilton has it too cushy at McLaren, he's the McLaren golden boy like Vettel at Red Bull!

Come on come on, Jens had a fair crack!!

I think you might be overrating yourself a fair bit there  . You'd be surprised at modern sat nav these days, Hamilton might pass through one day, perhaps returning Massa's lost helmet or something.

You misunderstand; I am not saying that McLaren didn't play it fair between the two drivers; just that Lewis wouldn't have such a comfortable life in another team especially Ferrari! Red Bull also played it fair despite all the allegations of favouring Vettel over Webber, both driver still have a shot at the title!

Hamilton probably won't be as comfortable in another team, but I'm pretty sure he will leave if Mclaren go on a run of bad cars, look how disappointed he gets with car problems.

A bit of a related tangent but how good is Hamilton at car development? giving good feedback; given his constant bitching about "no grip" and "the f-duct isn't working", that doesn't seem like very constructive feedback for the team, I know that Jenson isn't the best at driver feedback so that leaves everything upto Gary Paffett and he doesn't drive at the tracks very much; so most of his feedback would be from the simulator; maybe that's the problem with this years McLaren?!?!

Pedro de la Rosa left the team... perhaps that has had a sizable impact that no one considered previously.

Lewis doesnt bitch about tyres and the Fduct. he's not so stupid as to waste his time on that in a race. He's questioning and giving back information. I think the true feedback will come at a debrief not when you're driving by the seat of your pants, at that point you need to give and receive vital information. Who sets the car up best? I think that varies with the track. Leiws tends to drive round problems. Jens tends to try to preguess them.

He's gone back now hasn't it? That might be an advantage considering he's got recent f1 experience.

 But that is exactly what he was doing at Brazil RC?

I got no problem with that but what your saying is just denial that Lewis doesn't bitch. He is as much of a moaner as any other driver out there.

I don't think so, he's doing the Pirelli tests and they have specified a driver who isn't attached to a team, in the interests of fairness. I might be wrong but i'm pretty sure that's the case.

Agreed... i mean what are the team supposed to do if the tyres have worn out? Lots of drivers have been complaining about that this season.

I wasn't aware that he had gone back to McLaren either.

Lewis Hamilton complained about having no grip on a few occasions; and that's what we heard on the TV coverage, how many other times did he radio back to say the same? I respectfully disagree; Lewis was moaning for moaning's sake; the team can't do much while he is out on the track; say it once and get on with what he is paid millions to do; drive a F1 car to it's limits! What good is feedback in the after race debrief? that feedback is needed during FP1 and FP2 to set up the car for Q and race sessions. Discussing setup after the fact is useless as it'll be another year before racing on that track again and more than likely the conditions will be different; also different regs and tyres.

sorry if this a biased view, but i dont belive he was bitching over the radio about his tyres and the asking whether the f duct was working, he was just letting them know, i know that the pit wall cant really do too much apart from putting fresh rubber on and hes actually given them things to think about why are the tyres giving no grip etc and according to bridgestone on formula1.com the track temperature rose significantly which didnt help the tyres condition either and then as soon as the SC came out the tyres returned to normal temperature

Thank you! It would be a pretty poor driver who didnt bother telling the team how things were feeling in the car. If there's a problem the team need to know. thats not bitchin.

I suppose that if Alonso had done those communications, it wouldn't be whining; it would be Fernando showing his highly-tuned senses to detect stuff with the car that not even telemetry can.

:hehe:

Never mind, Fernando doesn't whine--he just waves his hands uselessly at every driver he can't overtake.
