Hulk had nothing to lose. His pole is, what, three seconds slower than Vettel yesterday in the dry? The track was drying quickly and the WDC hopefuls all were being a tad more cautious.

Maybe so maybe not.

I still can't quite believe it. Basically Hulkenburg either had a higher downforce setup or he just completely nailed it... and you have to suspect the latter as he was nowhere really until then. It's such a huge spanner in the works for the title contenders, imagine if Hulk keeps the lead, then we'll have all 4 of them (probably) backed up behind him. Not to mention the fact that there's usually first lap retirements...

But numbers 2,4 and 6 will start on the dirty side, won't they? Or the rain today might have affected and washed it clear so everyone has the same circumstances in the start?

Well, consider that the track had a dry line at the end of the session... it might give an advantage, hard to say. Support races might take some rubber off and lessen the advantage. No substitute for a good start though.

And Hulkenberg made a complete fool of them all really.

This could actually change the championship... in Vettel's favour!

1. Vet 2. Hulk 3. Webber 4. Hamilton 5. Alo and Vettel's back in the hunt then...

Sorry, don't mean to detract from Hulkenburg's pole. That is something so special for me to watch. :cloud9:

But Vettel - (Ah - another day.... :wavey: )

Nice one of Nico Hülkenberg - to think this young gun is fighting to stay in F1 and his future with Williams is still not secured :banghead:

Yes, it's crazy. Williams' driver line-up should not even be in question. What they have right now is solid, they just need to focus on building a great car.

I think the Hulk and Button should exchange cars. One deserves it much more than the other.

as in Pulp Fiction they said "Let's not start duckling each others' d*cks quite yet". I'm not taking anything away from Hulkenberg today, he was class of its own but we have to look at the big picture, Barrichello has twice the points he has atm.

I don't understand why you point out the difference between a long practice session in the dry and a qualy session that 1. green track 2. wet for a majority and even then not properly dry.

lets compare Korean practice to race pace while we are at it.

its a stunning result for hulkenberg and Williams. and doesn't need to be detracted from

Predictions since they seem to be par for the course :hehe: .

1. The Hulk makes a fantastic start.
2. Vettel takes out Webberat T1 trying to compensate for such a poor start .
3. Hamilton uses that to his advantage to take the lead from The Hulk.
4. Alonso stalks Hamilton close enough to either pass him on track or in the pits and secures the WDC.

Hey it could happen :hehe: !
