I've tried converting my family to Formula One and my brother has interest in it, but not necessarily follows it, but he'll watch the odd race and he has some of his friends slightly interested in it as well.
I have a friend who I talk to once in a while, I spoke to him once Webber went off and gloated about Vettel winning the title (famous last words

). He appears to be a recent fan like me - but I'm not sure if he's a freak like I am. I know a bit about the history....
And then I have one guy who works in the Melbourne Office who I chat to on MSN about it. And my colleagues who sit around me are regularly informed, mostly by asking me, but they also watch the news and try and watch replays. I think it's their way of working out what mood I'll be in. (i.e. extremely pissed today)
So I have a nice mix, but yeah - I did originally join this site because Forums are the greatest way of chatting with people who also share a similar passion to you. And I'm surprised I've been here for so long because usually I lose interest in most things. I used to post on a few soccer forums but quickly lost interest.
IF it weren't for this I'd have really no place to vent and live life everyday as a GP Fan.
BTW - a thought suddenly clicked in my mind. I told everyone I was leaving this site after Spa 2008 after the Lewis/Kimi/Massa incident. And then the very next race I became a fan again after a young German won at Monza...
