This being a strictly British/Hamilton forum we Americans are deemed constantly as idiots when actually most of the time it is the other way around but ignorance is bliss I guess.

I'm British and amazingly I am not a Lewis Hamilton fan; I respect his abilities but he is far from as good as what he is made out to be. He became the darling of the British press because of his first season matching two times world champion Alonso; and winning the world drivers title the next year. But I believe sometimes he switches his brain off when racing; the last two DNF's were totally avoidable; a more mature/balanced racer would have taken the safer route, not charging in and hoping for the best! I anticipate he will make increasingly desperate moves as he is drifting away from the world drivers title battle!

" This being a British/Hamilon forum americans deemed constantly as idiots WHEN ACTUALLY MOST OF THE TIME ITS THE OTHER WAY ROUND" "ignorance is bliss"

What is it with people making the most contradicting, hypocritical statements on here and failing to spot them before they post. Firstly, myownalias, Hamilton is far fro as good as what FANBOYS make him out to be, reasonable fans give him the credit he rightly deserves, i dont know if youve ever seen a race Lewis has been in but hes certainly something special, nobody in their right mind can deny hes a very special talent. Everything else youve said is spot on, far from perfect, hes learning every year for definite, but still a bfair bit to go (monza, singapore) As for the last bit of your post i bolded, any driver would make desperate moves the further away they get from the WDC, its what wins you a WDC, instead of sitting back going for the constructors. You say it like its a bad thing, especially when these moves may pay off.

For texas, no, we dont give you a lot of stick for being idiots. Idiots are the only people your taking notice of, half my famo and Americans/o living in America and i myself used to live in upper arlington, Ohio, and i loved the people and the place, i even plan to move there if i can find a job going (Im thinking rBritish embasyy.....) Americans and British make as much fun and insults to each other as each other, so to pin blame on us " if anything its the other way round" is ignorant in itself, isnt it? I think youll find any decent Brit/American of which most of the population of each fall into, quite like and respect the other.

Do you watch edited versions of formula one races?

He put a car up the inside on a driver who had clear track position, probably didn't see him, still to turn in whilst his [then] closest title rival [Webber] was behind him. Comprehende?

Ok. What is the score now? I need to keep this thread up there.

What's that now? 11:5 in quali? Or is it 12:4? I lost count.
However, this means Hamilton irreversibly leads on the qualification count. It is now confirmed that Hamilton is faster in qualifying.

Races? I lost count of that as well. Maybe it is too early to conclude is has the better race craft and race pace?

Points - It is still very close. Button seems to be very good at collecting points and that's what wins championships!

Button beats Hamilton from Qualifying at Susuka in my opinion, it's just not certain how far by. It depends if Lewis drops 5 or 10 places.

Not in my view, to me Button only gets a better grid slot because of a Mechanical problem on Hamilton's car. There is no changing the fact that Button was out paced by 2 tenths; we all saw who was in the Post qualifying conference.

He just got outpaced again. Just accept it. :whip:

OK. You know what, I will give Button this one for free. :) Make the score 10 - 6 and Button still can't come out on top because there are only 3 races to go :wavey:

He's under investigation for blocking Nico during Q. Every other blocking in Q this year has resulted in 5 place grid drop.

It seems that Lewis has been his own worst enemy in the final third of the season, three crashes in three race weekends and now blocking the Williams, I believe his championship hopes are slipping away; Jenson seems to be on the ascendency right now!

Haha that was hardly a block and quite rightly thrown out! Wurz knows his s***!

Bit of a sidetrack; but does the F1 former driver get a vote; or is he just there to advise the non driver stewards!

RIdiculous, the Williams hadn't even caught up with the McLaren! Lewis timed it well enough. If Nico was distracted by him that's too bad, it's part of the game. But he had the pace to go flat out and complete his lap, which is what matters.
