Now that Sauber confirmed Perez and Kobi for 2011 (with Mexican GP3 champion Esteban Gutiérrez, another member of Escuderia Telmex, as a Sauber test driver) - where is NH going?

Not too many openings at the moment... Maybe to Red Bull as water carrier for SV if MW retires after this season...

Renault is the only decent seat left, but i think they'd rather get Raikkonen in. I guess the same might apply to Red Bull if Webber went - but i don't think he will be retiring. Back to Merc if Schumacher does retire? Can't see that either though.

Yeah, it's gonna be tough to find a decent seat and he might end up with a back marker team...

I'm not sure who there either! I believe Lotus are keeping their lineup and Virgin might be a no-go unless Glock moves... Hispania just want pay drivers it seems. Toro Rosso are full too. Force India look like they'll pick two from Sutil, Di Resta and Liuzzi. Williams aren't changing their lineup either.

If HRT is snapped up by someone, it could change things but at this point it all looks relatively congealed. I think Kimi may be the only one able to pick and choose rides.

You're right about Kimi....he'll come back on his terms....but I think he's perfectly cut out for Red Bull. So if Schumi retired......Vettel to Mercedes......then Kimi to Red Bull....that all makes sense.

As for nick....all over for him I suspect.

When I read this article earlier today I wondered why on earth Peter Sauber decided to sign Nick for just five races? only to ditch him for a newbie! I'm not sure that's the right move for Sauber; two relative rookies in a team that needs all the driver expertise it can get isn't a great idea, poor move by Sauber I believe!

Tough decision for Sauber i guess. On one hand a very talented rookie in Kobayashi... and on the other hand a reigning champion, with the backing from Telmex, who just might have saved Sauber the team for next yr. Carlos Slim has a LOT of money, and the mexican audience is no small target with a possible Texas race in plans.......

Things are difficult for Nick, but Peter Sauber i think had his back against the wall on this one.

I sadly think for nick he could just being at no team at all sadly, but then i would welcome him to mclaren as a test/reserve driver alongside gary paffett

If I was Peter, I would've asked Santander for some spare change this year to let Delarosa see out the season. Assuming Santander cared of course.

I actually wouldn't be surprised to see de la Rosa come back as a test driver for Sauber after his Pirelli gig is up. I think Sauber's descision to bring in Nick was two fold, one you get to see Kobayashi's true metal, meaning how did he compare against a solid mid field F1 driver and two, they get to see what another perspective can bring to the table as far as results in the current car. If he showed up and out qualified Kobayashi by 5 tenths well that would have said quite a lot... personally I'm glad Kobayashi has earned his ride.

I think Sauber does have an eye for new talent. however is next years line up a financial compromise?

as for Nick, I would imagine his days are numbered as a race driver.

Well, he's not going to stay at Sauber, but I hope he'll stay in F1.
I have no idea where, though!

I can't see him getting a drive for 2011; probably back to a test driver role or maybe a move to sports cars!
