Call me overly excited that you might, but this is going to be a great championship battle right to the end. Granted, we probably won't have 5 runners in with a shot of victory when it comes to Abu Dhabi but it is sure going to be a scintillating finale.
Out of pure interest (and that it's a horrid, rainy and cold friday night with nothing to do.) I have made a speculation of a possibility of all 5 title contenders having a shot at the championship right down to the wire in Abu Dhabi.
Now I understand that there is some worry that the Korean circuit may not be completed by the time everyone arrives, but just for good measure, I have left it in. This also is NOT (I know, I'm sorry I hate using caps too but I know someone's going to point out that this is a pretty uneducated guess rather than speculation *breathe*) a logical prediction, but a speculation and these results below will probably not happen, however we shall see. Mind you, if you stand by Murray's famous quote - "Anything happens in Grand Prix racing, and it usually does." Then there is always a possibility.
Anyway, here are the *speculated* results:
Current points Points after Japan Points after Korea Points After Brazil
|Webber 202 202 DNF +0 210 6th (+8) 216 7th (+6)
|Alonso 191 191 DNF +0 216 1st (+25) 216 DNF (+0)
|Hamilton 182 197 3rd (+15) 215 2nd (+18) 216 10th (+1)
|Vettel 181 199 2nd (+18) 214 3rd (+15) 216 9th (+2)
|Button 177 202 1st (+25) 212 5th (+10) 216 8th (+4)
Alright so like I said not terribly likely to happen considering the big 3s pace this year compared to everyone else. Nonetheless, this is going to be a fantastic end to an epic season.
