"Eddie Jordan, the same man who broke the news that Michael Schumacher would race for Merc GP this season, says he has a "hunch" that the German won't be in F1 next year."

EJ may not be the sanest of pundits but he has been prescient before, notably in the instance mentioned above, predicting Schumacher's return. And even die-hard Schumi fans are questioning whether Michael really can come back with a bang next year.

EJ again:

"I have heard rumours that (team boss) Ross Brawn's continuity with the team is in doubt, which would be a huge blow."

I think that Eddie may have got it right again.

yeh but brawn was talking about those rumors in the f1 forum on the bbc earlier, it was Nico being miss quoted and ej talking about nothing but speculation on his part.

MSC will live up to what hes said, hes not a quitter. lets just hope he improves.

I hope he doesn't. I'd prefer to see him come back next year with a car he helped develop.

But if Brawn doesn't come back, then things could be different as it was Brawn that brought him in the first place.

It's possible; depends on how the Winter testing goes I believe; unless the car is fast I believe he will walk away; He has been comprehensively beaten by Rosberg who has outdriven the car in some races to be right at the sharp end while Schumacher has been four or five places behind like today!

Ross Brawn dismissed the rumours at the end of the race but I am only going to believe it when Schumacher tells us himself.

Not being in his natural habitat, he's finding it's much harder to cheat, so he'll soon be off to humliate his brother in DTM. :hehe:

I think he will stay.

Next year's Merceds car will be built around him and hopefully Mercedes should be in the mix with Ferrari, McLaren and Red Bull. Only then we would see the real Schumacher again.

He'd have to get rid of Rosberg, though...

I can see by your pictures that you are bitter that MS was in another league to Hill. Hill was and is a joke :hehe:

Back then Michael was at his ruthless best (I can admit that even if I didn't like him); but I don't think he has what it takes in modern F1 to stand on the top step consistently!

I think when Ross sorts out the understeer Micheal will be back on the ball. So like it has been said, It all depends on winter testing. If the car is good for him he will stay

I doubt Ross Brawn will quit, he still owns a percentage in the team. And i doubt Schumacher will quit either, As has been said he will hopefully find form in the offseason testing.

Rosberg enjoys the current handling of the car, which is going to change next year in order to suit Michael; so Rosberg could struggle just because of that.
