I have spent three hours applying for a job online; only to find that it wouldn't accept my application because it doesn't accept foreign addresses of phone numbers.

How about your mom's address?

Not really possible as she passed away four years ago; and that would still be a foreign address (from a US resident point of view).

Confused: you're in the US applying for a US job, right?

Yes but they want my previous addresses and employment going back seven years; I've only been here in the US for 19 months.

Ridiculous - there are many (recent) immigrants in this country, so what's their beef?

[myownalias]

It's an online form; seems you can not apply for a job on a piece of paper any more; the people who coded the job application pages seem to think that Americans are the only people on the planet; they have the stupid five digit zip code mask and don't allow for international dialling codes in phone number; 10 digit mask only. So I either lie or not bother applying for the job; and when I called the company they just referred me back to the website; handbrake and canoe springs to mind!

Then woke up in a hospital with two police officers standing over you?

Thing is going fast in a straight line is fun and all but it's not that hard.

I've done over 150 in my rx8 so long as you stay steady and don't do any unstablize the car your fine.

Heh it was on the A50, it was late and there was no-one else about, there's a stretch where you can see a fair way ahead. You can't do things like that otherwise, or indeed too often at all, cause at some point you will actually wake up in a hospital and find yourself banned from driving! It's like James May said on Top Gear, there's a time and place for driving quickly.

what was it?

How do you mean? It is an '08 V10 version if that's what you are getting at.

I think JW thought you ment you did 160 on the M5 Motorway, so he was asking what car.

Not that you were doing 160 in a BMW M5

That's what I thought as well + I thought that M5s were limited to 155mph?

162 in 7th gear. With the modded ECU they do just over 200...!

Nice; fastest I have ever been is 144mph actually on the M5 motorway back in the day in a Sierra Cosworth 4x4... that was a quick car in the early 90s.
