I attribute Renault's relative success of late to Kubica and a bit to their disturbing front wing obsession. Without the actual superpower of Renault behind it all the way, I expect them to remain an also-ran.
Also I don't expect Renault to be a race winner in the next couple of years, when you have those top 3 teams continually improving, busy leapfrogging each other. Perhaps Kubica has decided to become a paycheque player?
I can't see that being the case, especially if he was a real Ferrari (mega $$$) prospect. I think Renault will struggle for a win this season, but I can certainly see Renault winning a race or two next season. Given that they are under new ownership and this is effectively their first season, they have done amazingly given what a dog of a car they (Renault as a manufacturer) had last season. Kubica has the talent to challenge for wins, I think Renault will be one of the teams to flourish under the budget cap next season!
