Brawn needs to give up on the MGP W01 and start work on the MGP W02. Hopefully Mercedes can be a force in 2011. :(

It was mentioned yesterday that the team has no budget left for this years car so they are focusing on next years car.

Williams Wins in Montreal!
Posted on Sunday 13 Jun 2010 and tagged with Canada.
In a revival of a long-standing tradition at the Canadian GP, Williams and Lotus took to the Olympic rowing lake that borders the paddock at the Circuit Giles Villeneuve for the annual F1 raft race following qualifying on Saturday.

Based on very strict regulations and ruthless scrutineering that demand teams must construct a vessel only with materials that can be found in their garages, this year's race only attracted two entries (shame on the rest of you); Williams' design was based around an aluminium front wing flight case with pitlane lollipops for oars. Lotus by contrast went for a high downforce spec arrangement with a large rear wing and a more conventional 'escape from Devil Island' floation raft lashed (literally) onto empty water bottles.

From the off it was clear the Willies kayak was the far superior craft despite a heavy bread roll bombardment from a frankly rather partisan crowd on the shore. The Lotus pedalo, by now dubbed the Titanic, had developed pronounced steering problems and its crew decided to abandon ship and endeavour to scupper their rivals. Undeterred, the Willies boys - Skipper Matt Webb and Cabin Boy Nick Matthews - dragged their boat over the finish line first to claim the glory.

How cool would be if F1 had other sports competitions between drivers? From ballgames to athletics.

Their boat could probably go faster than the FW32 as well, that's the only thing Williams will probably win this year. :(

Two force India's in q3, very good.

Well, at least its not a redbull on pole again,

Ferrari seem reasonable, good stuff from Alonso as well. Massa still struggling though, is it just the pressure of fighting Alonso? He seemed to do a lot better in Monaco for example.

Maybe the redbulls will take each other out again.

I'm wondering about the hard tyre thing, it looks like the Redbulls have the advantage?

If there's no safety cars then yeah. If we get one near the start all the others can just make their stop and get rid of the softs without losing any time, and a SC at any other time would destroy any lead they could potentially build up.

I'm just trying to remember when there was last a race where there were no safety cars...

Someone mentioned yesterday there has been a safety car every race for the last four races in Canada, should be intresting enough either way TBH. 8-)

I'm sure Jake said they average 2 per race here so it's a reasonable bet.

Formula One meets... The Olympic Games!

Could you just imagine the Football match(s)? Ferrari v McLaren, oh wow...That's a good thought AND for charity too!

With the new teams... a safety car is almost certain. The question is "how early?"
