For a GP weekend, it's one of the cheaper, as far as ticket prices and other needs goes. But that's not counting if you have to fly there from across an ocean. The hotels are not cheap but cheaper than if you go to most other races. I mean sure you can get a luxury hotel for several hundred a night, but motels even slightly remote would be well under a hundred Canadian dollars. That's like $4 American lol.

So they're like no cheapy motels nearby? I'm trying to get my parents to go (so that way I don't have to pay for the hotel ).

It's been many years since my last trip to Silverstone, I was very disappointed due to the fact that it cost me over £500 for the trip, a motel room for one night, entry to public enclosures on the Saturday & Sunday, and bad food. On top of that we were out in the open, it rained throughout the Sunday, and every time a car went past people waved huge flags obliterating my view of the track. My car got stuck in the mud, it took 3 hours to get away from the field we parked in miles from the circuit.

Until such time I can afford to be helicoptered in, driven to a grandstand seat, provided with good food and drink throughout, escorted through the paddock, then helicoptered out after the post-race party, I intend to watch it on TV!

I could be waiting an awful long time....

Camp and Barbie!!! Good food,convenient location, no driving all weekend, excellent atmosphere. Get seats on the front row and no one can wave flags in front of you. (You may still need a brolly! But then agen, more often its been warm enough for bikini top and shorts)
