Let's be honest, the FIA want control of F1 and they want F1 to be this massive marketing scene that's simply used to make them richer. They've been pushing forward their idea's much to our dis-pleasure.

But what if the FIA could instantly have there way. What if all their ideals where swiftly met. What would F1 look like, hhmm. Something like this.

-Standard engine, all cars use Cosworth engines
-KERS equipped on all cars, emphasise on F1 being green.
-No re-fuelling
-Bio-fuels must be used by all teams, again emphasise on F1 being Green
-More efficient fuels must be developed by teams, and basically the team with the most efficient fuel will win the race.

-Championship will be decided based on race wins. No dramatic finales.

-No FOTA, all teams will be under total control of the FIA

-20 race calendar. 40% Asian night races, 40% Arab races, 20% other
-All tracks must have at least 50 metre run off areas, thus less chance of cars crashing and sponsors getting less air-time.

*may seem like a laugh, but lets be honest. That's exactly what the FIA have been pushing for in F1. Sound good anyone.

They don't need to wish for control, they already regulate and govern the sport. They also own the lucrative television rights, but lease it to Ecclestone's FOM for a fixed percentage of the takings each season.

Trying to look at it from another angle,f1 needs a big shake up at the moment in my opinion. We have teams ,tyre manufactors etc all leaving the sport, interest in f1 is dwindling due to lack of racing/overtaking and cheating.

Something does need to be done perhaps giving teams a set chassis no double defusers etc.Who knows what the answer is.I don't think we can really blame tracks for everything even though they're not great with no charecter.

But these would be beneficial changes i think.

-All tracks must have at least 50 metre run off areas, thus less chance of cars crashing and sponsors getting less air-time.

And this issue has already had steps taken against it with those tec-pro barriers they use in Abu Dhabi - it'd be nice if other tracks were revamped to accomodate them (especially Bahrain), but i won't hold my breath...

They are giving off a damn good indication of trying to move towards all the other points you listed though. :hehe:

Yea they might even turn it into something like the WWF where drivers all scream at each other and talk big before the start of a race, sure that would get the ratings up :hehe::hehe::hehe:

Why don't we just get rid of F1 and introduce KERS to A1. :whip:

Of course I'm kidding. But, A1 is for standardised cars and F1 is for innovation! :P

IF they want to do that why not just start a Endurance style series this is Grand Prix racing not endurance.
