Anyway, the last 5-6 laps with Jenson and Webber were fantastic, wish we could see more of that in future

Congrats to Vettel for his win in the inaugural Abu Dhabi GP. It was an impressive drive from him. And a fantastic drive from his team-mate, Webber, indeed, to hold on to his 2nd position and just manage to keep Button at bay. But 3rd place is still great for the newly-crowned world champion. But it pretty much sums up the season, doesn't it, with Red Bull and Brawn dominating this final race of the season?

Disappointing though, about Lewis's brake failure and subsequent retirement. He could have won, and ended the season on a high. Yeah... but in the end, I suppose it was not to be for him. All because he'd had a problem with his rear brakes, just when things seemed to be looking up for him. So much for McLaren's great practice form, and Lewis's pole position.

But I'm sure that Lewis and McLaren will be strong in 2010! And at least we've beaten the Scuderia in the WCC, despite both not having picked up any points in this race.

Lewis had brake issues. - he went wide as a result for it and prob wasn't able to set decent times.

Without Brake issues it would of been alot lot closer

I just don't get it.

Yes, the whole development is impressive, with virtually unlimited funds, it should be, without question.
But the circuit itself gave me nothing much. No soul, no special feeling. In truth, apart from the last five laps, it was quite boring.

Turkey, Bahrain, Shanghai & Malaysia have more about them than Yas Marina.

A nice long straight, I'll give it that much, but it's not a proper circuit & not a proper street circuit either. They've gone for a sort of in-between the two, and I feel it doesn't quite cut-it.

As I say, unbelievably impressive, but as far as the circuit goes, it's no Spa, Suzuka, Monza or Monaco.

Maybe I'm just getting old, but this kind of circuit could have been designed by Walt Disney and be the latest theme park in Florida. (Now there's an old idea which was actually thought about once...)

Or maybe I just dislike the whole UAE. Oil, and more oil is how these people have become so rich. An almost limitless pot of money.

Ecclestone will inevitably go to places like this rather than Silverstone et al, because they have revenue to make the eyes water.

I see Korea on the provisional grid for 2010, now there's a surprise ......

I also foresee some F1 fans who are over 30 turning off.

but Lewis's Brake problems were affecting him throughout his race. He said in the interview he struggled to pull up the car under braking.
