John Hughes just passed away.

I've just read that. An absolute tragedy.

Only 59 :(

Yeah he was a young. He's only a year older than my mom.

John Hughes eh... sad loss, he really knew how to make a hit film! I own more of his films than any other director, its a sad truth! I'm so having a John Hughes marathon tomorrow!

He wrote nearly all the big 80's teen movies not to mention my personal favourite, Home Alone. Sad news.

The trailer for 2012 just came on my tv and it looks like the biggest load of rubbish (to put it nicely) I've ever seen. I love a good disaster movie but this one seems utterly ridiculous:

This is "from the makers of" The Day After Tomorrow which I had similar issues with. The special effects look like they're all the plot is really about...'How many big buildings can we make fall over, ooooh'. Action movies that are this ridiculous need humour i.e. Independence Day :hehe:

Yeah seam's they've gone over the top this time - "we'll make the earth fall over yeah and there be lots of explosions, and waves and then MORE explosions.

What i don't get from watching that trailer is when the planes taking off why is it going down...aren't they meant to go up?

Just watched the 2nd trailer "the government has built ships" - so it turns from the day after tomorrow meets deep impact to Noah's Ark fantastic! :hehe:

I watched Beverly Hills Chihuahua today. I beg all of you not to watch it as you will lose precious time that you will never get back. It is the worst film I have ever seen, and I have watched Spiceworld

I don't like these modern disaster films, the makers just seem to think "oh let's go kill lots of innocent people and bring the world to an end". I didn't like "Day After Tomorrow Either", I wouldn't be surprised if that film is at the top of Al Gore's favourite movies list.
