Apart from the Red Bulls, I don't think that was a particularly representative session with the weather and all that. The track was very busy at the end and not everyone got a fast lap in. Rain predicted for this afternoon...

then again first and second practice nothing to go by anyway. the teams is using it as test sessions mostly. I dont doubt however that red bull is going to be strong here and that truly looks like pace. webber just about 1 sec off the track record.

scotty , what mclarens were fast ?? you going on like those two bums on the microphones

Watching the practice session, they always seemed to make up time in the last sector and be quick in the first sector.

Does anyone else keep hearing an alarm in the background during practice? What is that?

I think it's sounded whenever a car on-track is passing the point where the pit lane and race track merge.

Ahh right, thanks. It's been getting on my nerves but at least it has a purpose.

Someone's just asked my question on the BBC. It's a particularly loud alarm for cars entering the pit lane. I missed practice this morning when it was explained apparently.

These FP2 commentators are nowhere near as good as Davidson and that other chap (David Croft?) in the morning session. :(

I know it's a little early for a thread on this, but who isn't really looking forward to this race?!?

I'd like Rubens to win and Button to wrap up the title, but i dare say Hamilton is the big favourite on paper here...

i dont think it will suit McLaren, infact i see it favouring Redbull!

double that. Hamilton also said that it's wont suit their car. Rubens to win, Vettel 2nd and Button no points PLZ

As long as button does not win,i could not care less.

2010 will see the return of the Champ..

Duh, unless Barrichello wins it and retires.

It looks quite tight at the front, Vettel and Webber will be quite tough to beat.

9 tenths covering the whole field!

I wonder if Kobayashi will get a top-ten result on Sunday...

I know, Kobayashi has taken to F1 surprisingly well. Really makes you think what was he doing in Gp2, finishing down in 16th. If he gets a good results on sunday, it makes you think, would Toyota hire him. I thinks it's unlikely, but you never know.

David Croft was in the booth for FP2.

Maurice Hamilton is awesome though... what is not to like?
