Stats taken from the same website you failed to read fully.

Thus, if you add the secondary speaker populations to the primary speaker populations, you get the following (and I believe more accurate) list:
(number of speakers in parentheses)

1. Mandarin Chinese (1.12 billion)
2. English (480 million)
3. Spanish (320 million)

The following is a list of these languages in terms of the number of countries where each is spoken. The number that follows is the total number of countries that use that language (from Weber, 1997):

1. English (115)
2. French (35)
3. Arabic (24)
4. Spanish (20)

Weber compiled the following list of the world's ten most influential languages:
(number of points given in parentheses)

1. English (37)
2. French (23)
3. Spanish (20)

Ironically Spanish seems to fall into 3rd place quite often and has been pushed into 4th in one table. reminds me of Ferrari in this years WCC.

Wow... looks like I missed some discussion here.

I'm pretty excited about Alonso moving to Ferrari. Should be interesting with Kimi going over to McLaren. Already looking forward to next season!

To me it is all for the glory of Ferrari.

You sound like old man Enzo himself. Presumably, you think drivers should be willing to die for the Scuderia too?

Presumanly yes....................... :D

Shocking! :nono:

Lets just hope they dont pick up on the fight they had in '07. Alonso says he expects harmony at Ferrari and i truly pray that the case.

well I dont think the question " what will he get up to next " will be in order here. he says he wiser now.

It will not happen again,” he said referring to 2007. “I am more prepared than I was two years ago. And Ferrari is more important than any driver in that car. We arrive in a team that is a pleasure and we are proud to drive that car. It doesn't matter if you are quicker or slower than your team-mate. The people want to see a Ferrari car in front. "Felipe is a great driver and also has a very good personality. It will be fine, we will both work for the team to score points for the team.”

Alonso and Massa once had a very public row after an on-track clash while waiting to go up to the podium, but the 28-year-old believes he will get on well with the Brazilian. "We are both Latin, Brazilian and Spanish," said Alonso.

Good for Alonso, i think he will be able to get WDCs in the next couple of yrs. Massa is under contract for another 1 or 2 yrs, so depending on how good he does Ferrari might get Vettel or some other hot gun. All in all, it does look that Ferrari is going all out. Hopefully, with the extra incentive of Alonso, they are able to sort some things that are still hurting the scuderia...

As for Kimi... i would have loved a Kimi/Alonso Ferrari lineup, but since it was not possible i really hope he goes to Mclaren and is able to fight for the title. And obviously, show their little Ham boy how its done!
