That paella looks yummy! I've never made paella - bit put off by the way lots of people say it's quite difficult to make correctly. I'm not brilliant at making main meals - much better at baking and desserts :)

I spent a fortune at the Chinese supermarket last week (we don't have one near us so I went a bit mad). Dim sum every day :cloud9:

There you go Bruno_Brazil :hehe:

I prefer desserts too, I like to just skip the main meal and go straight to the cheesecake :D

Come on, Mandy...I'm shy...
I know I don't seem to be, but I really am!!
So, don't start with this... =p

This one wasn't made for me(it's just to ilustrate), actually, we don't do it very often since we live in a apartament, but, during vacations, we spend the whole month on our beach house, and it's like one day barbecue, other shrimp or crabs/lobster or fish etc...So, it's like 15 days of barbecue :cloud9:

That looks amazingly delicious. Man I wish i could join you at the beach house just for the food!

I think you can find some brazlian barbecue restaurant in Texas, they are spread around all Usa, Canada etc(I checked some of them by myself, and they're awesome too)...either way, you can come in january(best summer period) it would be great to receive forum friends during vacations.
You all feel invited! =D

Maybe I will someday but my issue with the concept is I do not gorge myself. I'm a 6 small meal's a day person and cannot fathom paying $35 for someone who will barely eat $10-$15 worth of food. The 2-3 time's per year I go to a chinese buffet I get it to go and do not sit down to eat, I eat for two day's like that. My eating habit's are different than some yet sometime's depending on the meal I will eat alittle more. I'm also a slow eater which help's in the aspect of not over eating.

How exactly is this prepared? We have these "Brazilian" steakhouses becoming very popular around here. They showcase that dish as the house specialty, and at least the one I've tried here, it's damn good.

I was a little surprised to see that pic posted seeing as you're from Brazil, I didn't expect the restaurants here to be that authentic (so far anyways).

6 small meals is supposed to be healthier for you. But I really like my food so I'd happily sit down and try out a Fogo de Chão any day. And chinese buffet's I've seen plenty of.

Yeah...it's hard to go to some place like that, and dont pass out before go out hahahah...I mean, whereas it's a "eat-all-you-can" and everything is amazingly good, its kinda hard to control yourself hehehe
But, still, if you go predisposed to eat just a little bit you can manage well, and I think that 35$ still worths.

Well, first of all you should get coal and make it become and ember without fire...
Then you put some coarse on the meat, put the meat on the spit and wait, turn the meat upside down every 15-20 minutes. It's this basically.
But, man, I'm supposed to know, but we never do it as good as the restaurants do...I don't know exactly what they do, but their meat is way better!
I know that they follow some procedures that make the difference in the end, procedures like never frost the meat keeping it always fresh, some of they also dip the meat on different thinks like beer, vinaigrette etc...

And yes, that's authentic brazilian food, my favourite by far =)

Yeah, and it's not that harmful...
There is a endless gourmet salad bar and a table side meat service wich contains lots of things like bean, rice, mashed potatoes, salads, french fries, cured meats, imported cheeses, smoked salmon, vegetables, sushi, cani(kind of crab meat), dried tomatoes -wich I love by the way - and etc...

Pal, I'm really hungry just for talking this...

Maybe we should move the meat discussion out of the Kimi thread and into here? :scratchchin:
