Raikkonen may have taken the slightly longer way round, but he got far better traction coming out of the corner.

Simple solution: reduce the huge run-off areas, or replace the tarmac with gravel.

Exactly Kitty litter FTW.

Exactly. Bringing back gravel is a medium-term solution. In the meantime, we have to put up with these run-off areas, so the stewards should be consistent in their rulings.

Or they could put speed bumps, or "sleeping policeman" as some like to say.

Have to say I can't see how you can have a go at anyone for going the long way round.

I'm not a great fan of all these tarmac run off areas,as mentioned before there should be hazards if you go off the track.

Bunkers, water hazards, I'm in favour of that.

I'm more in favour of a grass strip between the track and a tarmac run off.
I think Kimi takes that same route every year

Seeing as he's won there 4 times now, it's fair to say more people should follow suit.

I believe there is a grass, or at least astroturf, strip between the kerb and run-off area. Gravel would be more of a deterrent. As long as you don't touch the wheel and try to turn whilst on the grass, it doesn't really give you any issues.

I'm not keen on the gravel I don't want to see someone out of a race from getting stuck in it and I think it's more likely something could dig in and flip the car. Maybe some sort of pair of bumps forming a chicane at the exit of the run off.
