I wonder how many extra people watch Formula One when Grands Prix are held at decent circuits. For instance, my brother doesn't really care much for the sport and doesn't usually watch it, but he watched the race this weekend. Perhaps I'm being naïve, but if you took into consideration similar circumstances around the world, surely the increased television ratings would make up for some of the extra money gets from places like Bahrain? Moreover, decent races would get more people interested in Formula One as well.
