I was funny sometimes admittedly when both drivers in a team were taken out in a first corner incident (Spa '98 springs to mind) and both run back to the pits to find the car is set up for the other driver so all that running effort was wasted; did F1 ever have two T-Cars?
I never liked the T-Car system, especially during the race; how many times did we see a driver binning their car in the first corner, the race being red flagged and the driver running back to the pits for the T-Car to take his place on the restarted grid. I believe the banning of the T-Car was a good idea in the fairness of racing!
I miss the running back to the pits bit though
"It's the Formula 1 marathon from Monaco, and in the lead is Pedro Diniz!"
I remember the epic run back to the pits at Monaco. Who where those drivers that kept their helmets on during the entire run in the hot sun?
