I dont know who was at fault between Bourdais and heikki, but Bourdais is the ultimate loser because Franz Tost no doubt isnt happy with him at all.

i felt Heikki didnt do a lot wrong. he defended the line, but i didnt think he really moved over to hit him. i think it was just unfortunate, n he probably didnt see him.

i must admit i thought at first he had taken out a red bull, so maybe he thought it was a leading car to be let thru, and then realised he needed to defend the position, but reacted before he thought about it. if he did take the toro rosso out, i thinkthats y.

To be honest it would appear from what I saw Heikki was in the wrong but Bourdais is not the only one who might be dropped by his team. Heikki's seat with McLaren next year is hardly safe.

Now that I think of it, it was mostly Bourdais' fault... actually all of it. You're right, Heikki didnt move over at all and Bourdais just terribly misjudged Heikki's braking.

Make your mind up! :hehe:

I say it was a racing incident, just as long as no stupid penalties are dished out otherwise at this rate every type of body contact will be punished.

I have made up my mind, and richindarlo pointed it out that Heikki didnt do anything wrong. And if you look at the replay, all Heikki was doing was defending his line. Racing incident indeed, but it was Bourdais' bad judgement that caused the incident.

Bourdais said Kov weaved around, i couldn't see that from the replays myself, but if it's true then fair play, a racing incident as both drivers messed up. Either way, Bourdais definitely outbraked himself...

I've just looked at the replay, Kovi did not weave around.

Bourdais is on the racing line (same line as Hamilton and the Renault). Kovi stays off the racing line and looks to be giving space but Bourdais decides to go round the other side of Kovi.

I hate it when Bourdais makes excuses. Its a shame really because he's a good driver, and nice guy.

Yeah his excuse bucket has probably been overflowing since the opening races, and then during practice/qualifying/race he complains about the car almost as much as Kubica does.

It is indeed a shame because I really liked him last year coming fresh out of ChampCar.

hmmm, looking some more Kovi does make a little movement to the left as bourdais crosses behind him, onboard footage from bourdais would be interesting.

I think Bourdais was expecting Kovi to come on to the racing line in front of him.
