the tracks a disgrace :banghead:

no the lack of fans there are a disgrace to Bernies push into Middle East and Asian markets.
"The live crowd is important - and we don't have any in Bahrain or here in Turkey," Mark Webber told the Red Bulletin.
"You want to have the fans and the people that understand it and are excited about it. So, yeah, it's still important to compete in front of people because it gives the place atmosphere," he added.

Turkey only has an F1 Race to impress the EU and dazzle them into turning a blind eye to the country's many indiscretions.

Note to Istanbul: Mission Failed.

Hmm, what Indiscretions are you talking about?

The fact that there's been little trouble in that country and Christians and Islamics live peacefully shows that the fact turkey is part of the EU is a good thing.

Hmm, what Indiscretions are you talking about?

You mean aside from the government dragging their feet on Human Rights reform?

You have to be very carful when making changes as big as that, i'm not saying it shouldn't be done but look though history when somthing big as changed too fast there's always MASSIVE negative effects.

Either way you can't bring that into a discussion about the track its not really relevant.

Uhm, the issue was raised about the rack being here for the sport's expansion into a particular region. I was pointing out why it was that Turkey had wanted the track in the first place. It is relevant.

having an F1 race is not going to impress the EU.

I think this could be a crazy race. It seems none of teams have got the tyres to work properly just yet. Not to mention, the poor conditions of the track today meant that the teams focused on set-up rather than the tyres.

So really, a lot of teams could end up in the dark this weekend, and turn out choosing the completely wrong tyre at the wrong time. It'll be an interesting quali to watch tomorrow. McLaren look good, and this is a track where Kovalinen goes really well at. Ferrari will no doubt be quick again, and not to forget Red Bull and Brawn. Toyota will also be looking to prove Monaco was simply a glitch, and again Williams are always in the top 10.

Massa fastest in Practice 3 :D In fact, he was fastest for the entire session I think. He was the first to set a time, and I'm not sure if anyone was ahead of him at any point. If they were, it was for a rather short amount of time.

It's too good to be true though. I badly want Massa to snatch pole here, and I would be ecstatic if he did it. But perhaps some of the other cars have pace in hand. I'd still be watching Red Bull and Brawn this weekend. Toyota are looking in better shape to.

I think the fight for Q3 will be so close this weekend, with McLaren, Toyota, Red Bull, Ferrari, Williams and Brawn all looking like they could make it.
