Sorry but if they put a 08 Ferrari or a 08 Mclaren around that Circuit or a 09 Brawn Driven by Massa, Lewis or JB it would take the piss out of a champ car.

Of course it would be faster, those cars are 3 years newer. And so what if its faster 'only' than a Toyota F1, its not bad considering the DP01 chassis was made in a country that cant turn right.

Hey, we can turn right. The problem is, there's always that damn wall there!

F1 is certainly not the 'fastest' auto sport. NHRA drag cars kick over 300MPH in a quarter mile. F1 is the pinnacle of motor sports because they are have the more ridiculous performance in 2D. Drag cars go faster, but they can't corner. F1 cars are engineered to be aircraft on wheels and they can out-perform just about anything else on 4 wheels on the planet. Historically they have been at the bleeding edge of automotive technology and have provided innovations in automotive engineering that has made its way into production vehicles. Can't really say that about NASCAR.
