There could well be, i'd be surprised if the stewards aren't asked to look at that.

What's more dangerous? Massa missing a red light in Canada or Alonso nearly crashing into another car and narrowly missing a group of mechanics?

I think the commentators said that Renault are going to make an official complaint to the FIA so we'll see what happens....

I think that Honda have made a complaint and it will be investigated.

It was a 50:50 decision to let Alonso go, and this time it didn't workout, so he should be punished, simple as.

Seeing as Meredes OWN the circuit, I think you'll find that nothing much happens at all (not if they want sponsorship next year).

Same applies to Lewis being allowed to continue after ending up in the gravel.

if it was a 50/50 decision to release Fernando from his box, and he leaves WITHOUT any crashing into mechanics or any cars, THEN WHAT IS THE PROBLEM HERE????? when he left his pit box it DID work out, because he left the pits with no incident!!!.......i think it was fisichella who was approaching Fernando , and fisichella is not in contention for the world title......so would you rather see Alonso have to give way to no-hoper fisichella , and that would have ruined any chance Alonso had of catching Massa, or would you rather see the fastest drivers who are competing for the title at the front??.........

In the last year alone incidents such as this have happened several times and nothing has been done about it. The fact is both championships are very close and when you get 50-50 decisions to make in a fraction of a second, you have to take the gamble. I also don't think the incident was as dangerous as people are making out. There are strict pitlane speed limits and these drivers have incredible reaction times. Punishing Alonso or McLaren is the wrong thing to do saying as others have got off with it. If the FIA want to stop these incidences the thing to do is just ban them from now on.

The fact that nothing went wrong doesn't mean that it wasn't wrong you moron. Just because no-one has had a fatal accident in F1 for quite a while does not mean the push for safety should stop! It's the fact that something COULD have happened, and the pit lane is not the place to take risks with other peoples safety! Jeez some people
