[What's Burning?]

Massa's was black and white though. In the driver's meeting they were shown a picture of that line and were told that crossing it would mean a penalty. Massa must have missed that part.

From this picture, it would seem that Bottas had both front and back tires on the white line,
which would mean that Hamilton had more space on the other side.

The rule is to leave a car's with which the replays clearly show there was, what's being discussed here is the penalty handed to Hamilton for causing a crash, which apparently ignores the fact that Bottas a lapped car was trying to overtake Hamilton by out braking and at most should have been nothing more than a racing incident. Hamilton had already come into the pits to change a tire, the penalty was predatory in my opinion.

But like I said, in the end it means nothing. He's had a far more successful season than both team mates at the team heleft behind, and helped his team move up the WCC standings by three position, money well spent by Mercedes bringing him over.

Definitely would not use the word "predatory"; but, I don't believe it was a justified penalty!!

Having said that, it's best we all put this season behind us and look forward to next year,
as What's Burning latter comments suggest!!

The accident was Hamiltons fault, as he did not leave Botttas room. However I do not think Hamilton knew or expected Bottas to come back at him, so I think the Drive through was a bit harsh.

The guy had no business putting his nose where it didn't belong, he (a lap down) tried to outbrake Lewis into the DRS zones and he comepletely f@cked up the overtake. Fine, It's Lewis Hamilton and for some reason people love to blame the guy for the price of milk so okay, even though he wasn't in the wrong let's just call it even and say it was a racing incident.

Um... it's not about moving over, he's allowed to do that as a defensive move as long as he give the person overtaking him enough room. Like I said to Jabber... it wasn't even the point of calling it a racing incident, it was the insult of then demanding a drive through.

Lewis can't catch a break from the British media while Jenson Button is being celebrated for his fantastic heroic drive almost getting a crap car on the podium, not to mention that two other drivers that would have finished ahead of him were penalized and one blew and engine.

I would have to say when I saw the replays, to me it looked like Hamilton drove into Bottas.

Should Bottas have moved over more? Or did he have the right to stick on the line he had....?

Either way it lost him 3rd in the WDC.
