My point is; Lewis is not infallible; he is human like the rest of us; I think a mentality reset will solve his issue, getting a better dedicated sports manager would benefit him more I believe. I would love to see both JB and LH on top of their game battling it out!

I didn't name any names, for the record; for the most part you have been fairly objective RC; but there have been some on here (of which many have departed this forum) and some I knew in person and some from my Twitter feed that couldn't form a coherent objective opinion if they were hit around the head with it! My point is; Lewis is not infallible; he is human like the rest of us; I think a mentality reset will solve his issue, getting a better dedicated sports manager would benefit him more I believe. I think Mercedes is most likely.Or even another series.
Ive never said Lewis would blow Jenson away, just that he's faster. I dont think Jenson performing better this season is the whole story. And yers he would have been much better staying woth his father- but then that was just another thing his bashers had a go at.
I dont think its negotiative management Lewis needs(which presumably Fuller can provide). Its closer more personal management which his father provided and his team are not

Mercedes? Seems a long shot to me. Was there whole thing not to make some sort of German ubber-team (despite being based in England and being run by various personnel of English origin)? I wouldn't be surprised if Merc left if 2012 doesn't deliver at the very least some podiums. As for another series, he's a bit young to go to the F1 retirement home that is DTM. My guess would be NASCAR.

I can understand the reasons for wanting to not have his Dad as his manager but it seems to me that his Dad can fill a personal role that Fuller can't as manager. To be honest if I had a choice of my old man or some corporate stooge out to make a few quid I'd sooner have my Dad as my manager. At least I could trust my Dad and know that things would be said in confidence. I think a lot of it is that his Dad was so heavily involved for so long that it is difficult to adjust to anyone else. Other drivers have had managers from a young age that are not family members so there is less of an attachment there and they are already used to their manager by the time they reach F1. That's my guess on the management side anyway.

How much character building and 'learning' does lewis have to do?
Lets see what we've had:-
Alonsogate
Penalties galore whether its his fault or not
His lifestyle analysed
His friends analysed
He shouldnt have his father in the garage
he should have kept his father
Why hasnt he got management?
Why has he signed THAT management
He cant manage tyres
His head's all over the place
He's dangerous
He's arrogant
The ridiculous Liegate nonsense
Even his driving now questined
And the list goes on and on and on and on
Undoubtably some of his troubles this year are his fault, But his treatment is unfair. This year it has been relentless and to crown it all in the last two races his team cant even get him out to do his final Q3 run.
Enough's enough. No wonder the guy's feeling down.

If LH doesn't want every aspect of his life to be analysed to death, he needs not to be a public figure. I'm not saying that the press should be that intrusive but it's a fact of being a public figure, even more so when that person is in the highest echelon of motorsport, everything you do is analysed and jumped all over, he just needs to ignore it and concentrate on his driving and career, getting an entertainment management company to manage his career wasn't the brightest idea in the world!

Don't be silly, an F1 fan in Kansas.... what where you thinking? Plenty of people I knew from back home are motorsport nuts, hence why they were my friends!

How many other drivers' public lives are in the news so much?

Lewis has contributed to quite a lot of this himself - like releasing an auto-biography only 2 years into the sport. Also, marrying a celebrity will also make his life more public. He kind of became the next David Beckham instead of the next Ayrton Senna.

He needs to get off twitter and stop living it up as a celebrity. But if that is what he wants, then of course the media are going to smash him when he does stupid things on the track. (Hopefully this doesn't translate into him becoming the next Linsday Lohan/Paris Hilton etc of Formula One).

So basically I'm saying I have no sympathy for the way how the media have treated Hamilton. He basically came into the sport - people talked him up, and didn't do too much to refute it - and didn't mind the media attention in the first couple of years. Him and the media led us to believing he was some racing God - so he should bloody well drive like one. Obviously he is not a racing God - he's Lewis Hamilton. Otherwise he wouldn't be battling for position with Felipe Massa and being trounced by Button...

Vettel on the other hand (with my bias wunderfanism blue-tinted glasses on), is now a double world champion, and in my opinion, is the most humblest World Champion we've had in a while.

A typical thing that irks me. We now have a dual world champion - which in it's own right makes him a great in the sport. Yet if you compare their Wikipedia pages you don't get to read much about Vettel - whereas Hamilton gets mentions about his driving style etc. Double world champions should be more important and interesting than those who have barely won it once.

Well thats the thing, if the personality is a bore, no matter how many WDCs you win you dont get talked about much. MS has more than double the WDCs of Senna and doesnt get talked about as much....after what, 2 decades of Sennas death!

Where to start.
Your last point first. Vettel is a double world champion by a few days only-give Wikipdia a chance.
Lewis beat a double world champion in his rookie year. Lewis is having a crap year -yes-but he's done things with the car that the rest wouldn't even dream about. Thats why his driving gets talked about.

Twitter- do you go on twitter? lewis is hardly ever on, Jenson tweets a lot. Whats that got to do with anything anyway.

You have no sympathy for Lewis becuase the press hound him and pull apart every aspect of his private life. Ok thts your perogative.

"Living it up as a celebrity?" Where did you read this? how do you knowhe "lives it up as a celebrity" more than the other drivers. His favourite things to do are spend time with his family and watch his brother race. But parden me he has a famous girlfriend, damn him to hell for that.
