Yeah, maybe... but I still wonder why Sutil didn't manage to make a good drive in China. He is usually good in the wet. Was it his car?

Yes, and he was fighting almost until the end of the 2008 season for th championship. BMW "let him down" in order to "help" Heidfeld with his car.... sad!

... I couldn't even image the money that Russia could bring to the Renault F1 team in merchandise sales and F1 as a whole.

Don't lets forget that Midland F1 Racing was a russian team, and they are gone now (the team was sold to Spyker and later on to Mallya - Force India)

Talented, strong, Quick and is very straight. He has really light a bell in my head. I have hired for my Monster Wolf Renault team And get has got me 2nd in the championship! but set aside that he is an awesome driver. I can see him driving for Ferrari in the near future

But i can see him being 7th in the WDC....

Love his no fear driving style. Similar to massa in early career but hope he dosent lose it like massa has. Massa was involved in alot of incidents because of this, but petrov needs to keep the style up but be smart at same time. Which is world champion material if you can put it all together, like alonso/hamilton/schumi who all have this. In my opinion

That is a good point but Midland did not have a Russian driver and even worse they truly sucked. They bought a sinking ship that was the old Jordan team (raced with the name for a year) and expected to suddenly do better with a little extra funding and a lot of the same staff.

I'm just supporting what EwanM said with another example... And not everybody reads every topic, so why not repeat sth. if it makes sense in the discussion???

Not sure about being the next Sato, Sato was great to watch but sometimes seemed to be missing something, perhaps something in his sense of judgement.

Ya I'm confused too. Kubica is top class and is most likely being considered by Ferrari for 2011. Petrov wouldn't even be on the radar yet for Ferrari, he will most likely be with Renault for a couple of years yet before switching to another team.
