Most dominant car ever over a season? That is tough....

Numbers say the '88 McLaren, but they also had the 2 best drivers in the world.

More impressive to me was the '92 active Williams. It made everyone look silly, and Nigel Mansell did the damage largely by himself.

Longest lived competitive design has to be the John Barnard McLaren MP4/2 of '84-86....

Facts were:

Three consecutive drivers championships.

Two constructors titles

25 race wins.

Not bad for a single design.......

Not too shaby :hehe:

Hmmm, I read about that somewhere, he was a dominating machine back in the day... I would still go with Williams Renault era... Turbo drives, mmmm...
Anyway, great avatar!

Dunno why the Brawn's mentioned. The car was quite dominant in Australia and Malaysia .. and thats it, then the others caught up. I would say the RB6 was a far more dominant car, if I just think about Hungary, where they were like 1,5 seconds quicker than anyone else?

For me the MP4/4 and the F2004 are together on the top step.
The F2002 was very impressive as well .. I mean nine 1-2-finishes
Finally there are the Willis from '87, '92 & '93 aaand '96

In 1988, McLaren set a record that is unbeaten to this day. They won all except one race. That is domination 8-)

Ferrari's domination of the top of the tables from 2000 until 2004 was a seemingly never-ending run, that is nothing other than sweeping the board very well indeed.

I don't miss those years tbh :hehe:
