Thanks for the welcome. Long time lurker :-)

I agree with what you have said above and thanks for sharing that article. Just think there is a lot of misunderstanding and myths surrounding 1994 hence the book. Uncovered some truly mind blowing things which I can't wait to share.

FYI I'm a Ferrari / Alesi fan :-)

Let us know when and where your book will be available!

p.s. "nice" lurker, eh?

Thanks and will do :) . I aim to release the book by early 2019 (hopefully earlier), but this is dependent on a number of factors. Sorry I can't give you more than this but I promise the content is worth it & fingers crossed a well-respected motor racing publisher may get involved..

You can sign up to get book updates here http://www.1994f1.com/contact/

I would like to post more regularly here but obviously writing commitments must take priority. But i'll aim to regularly contribute whenever I need a break from the writing :)

As per sagi58's comments above just wanted you lot to be the first to know that my upcoming book on the 1994 F1 season can be pre-ordered here; https://www.performancepublishing.co.uk ... eason.html

You'll see the book has had some very positive feedback from those F1 contributors who have read the current draft like Frank Dernie, Willem Toet, and Simon Morley who was the "Junior Mechanic" blamed for the 1994 Hockenhiem fire. For the first time since 1994 Morley explains in detail what really happened & has contributed some exclusive photos of the fire aftermath. In case you want more info on it, the book's website is; www.1994f1.com

Hi All,

As you may know, I have just released a new F1 book (details above) and I just wanted to let anyone who is attending www.raceretro.com know that there may be the possibility to meet Legendary F1 Engineer: Frank Dernie at Race Retro 2019 this Friday (22/2/19) on Performance Publishing's stand where I shall also be present (all weekend).

More details on this is contained within this link; https://mailchi.mp/c745348f73fd/1994-f1 ... Duh7JM-lEY and please be aware at the moment the times Frank will be on our stand are TBC depending on Frank's availability on the day. If i know that in advance I will post that here.

I would love to meet others members from this F1 forum.

Thanks
Ibsey

Lotus in 1986 might qualify for this topic as the qualifying specification of the 1986 Lotus 98T sat lower than its rivals, its skid plates touching the tarmac resulting in spectacular showers of sparks at a number of points on the circuit. This led to rumours that the car was running illegally, its sidepods flexing which allowed the underside of the car to create a form of outlawed ground effect.

You can find out more details of that & my more from my second book entitled; Team Lotus & Their Decline Between 1983 & 1990

You can listen to a free sample here; https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UMqtTZvAVsY

This book follows my highly acclaimed debut book; 1994 - The Untold Story of a Tragic & Controversial F1 Season (reviews of which can be found here; http://www.1994f1.com/sample-page/ )

The Lotus book will just be released on audiobook format initially via the retailers shown in this sample video. Please note the audiobook is unlikely to be avaliable at Audiable until Xmas 2020, please check my replies below for an update on that.
