Guido Forti dies

Postby andrew »

Guido Forti, founder of the Forti Grand Prix team, has died aged 72. The Forti cars were in F1 in 1995 and 1996. They were bright yellow with green wheels , sponsored by Parmalat and driven by Moreno and Diniz. The team collapsed during the 1996 season after a deal with the mysterious and short lived Shannon Racing.

Apparently the last team to use a H-pattern gearbox and considered by many to be the final privateer team.

Rising number one of Formula 1, Juan - Juan, one wonders should Juan only win one Formula 1 one year, would Juan have won that one in round one, Juan??

R.I.P.
Always a sad day when we lose greats of motorsport.

I can't say that I really knew of him; but it's always said when we lose someone from the world of motorsport; but I will forever remember the yellow mobile chicanes!

I voluntarily abide to certain rules - we don't want little boys and girls end up all traumatized and scarred for life, now do we? :whip:
