Max Mosley and Roland Ratzenberger

Postby NocturnalTendencies »

This is common knowledge but still, a cool thing he did back in the day.

FIA President Max Mosley attended the funeral of Ratzenberger, despite the overwhelming attention on Senna's funeral, both in the world of motorsport and worldwide. In a press conference ten years later Mosley said, "'Roland had been forgotten. So I went to his funeral because everyone went to Senna's. I thought it was important that somebody went to his."

The one decent thing that Mosely did. It still saddens me that Ratzenberger's death is often an after-thought or is forgotten altogether.

Yep. Couldn't believe nobody seemed to remember Roland's death on this forum on the last day of April. Hence why I revived that ancient thread from 2007... the last time someone seemed to recall his passing.
