I may not have the all encompassing understanding of F1 like Cookin, but I have been watching for more than 20 years and consider myself reasonably knowledgeable, so imagine how the less knowledgeable feel? why would you express an opinion only to be insulted and attacked for that opinion, I honestly believe that is what was happening on this forum!
I have to agree with you, both!! When I first came here, I tried (possibly too hard) to fit in.
I found article after article about Ferrari, to share my love of my team; but, a lot of those
were met with derision.
Having only been around F1 for less than 10 years, I know there is a lot that I have to learn
and I'm open to hearing what others know and have to share. I even went so far as to ask a
"Dumb Question of the Day" in the hopes of showing I had no problem admitting that I had
much to learn. But, that also fell flat, as evidenced by the condescending manner in which
many of those questions were responded to and the ridicule that followed me after that!!
CookinFlat6 knows a lot about F1, no doubt about it and I'm sure I could have learnt a lot
from him; but, I have to admit that once he got started on insulting, denigrating, vilifying
anything and everything Ferrari, I exercised my right to stop reading.
