Toronto (capital of Ontario) and Ottawa (capital of Canada) are roughly 350km apart.
Does that count?

Nah, capitals of countries are what I'm talking about. And I'm talking much, much closer: they can see each other, more so than Sarah Palin could see Russia :hehe:

Rome and the Vatican?

Ok, I expected this one.
However, Vatican City is as far from being a real country as a virus is from being a real life form. A virus depends on its host for almost every life process that commonly define things as being alive.
I actually quite like the comparison of the Vatican with a virus - lots of misery and not much good comes from either of them :banghead:

So, we're looking for two real countries that are neighbors and not some parasitic enclave within the other, whose capital cities are within eyesight of each other.

So, being a sovereign state doesn't make Vatican City a "real" country, eh?

Don't make me Image that!! :whip:

Nope, you can't see Bern or Vienna from Liechtenstein.
And it's the wrong continent.
