In the business it's called a "pre interview" where a writer or an aid would ask a few details about a number of things just to get a feel for the guest and to allow for some icebreaker content for the host. It's far from a script. Some people think they know better or maybe just have difficulty with he meanings of words.

Vettel is good at using this current style of car with DRS and KERS. He is also good at the tyres and is in what everyone is building. He is better than webber in an F1 car because webber is an old timer, Webber has a more lay back classic approach. Younger is better now.

It also helps if the car is designed around your strong points and capabilities

When the ban on rear diffuser blowing came in, removing the cars rear downforce when off throttle in a corner, Webber suddenly found that the car suited his rear happy oversteering style more. the car lost a lot of rear and Webber could gain speed in corners by taming the oversteer. Whereas Seb was suddenly matched by Webber as he had been completely integrated with the extra rear downforce after lifting in mid corner. It wasnt until the car regained that characteristic through a Newey reconfiguration that Seb was able to start plastering Webber again.

So if it was just about Seb being good at driving Neweys car, why did he not continue with the reduced rear aero car and beat Mark by the same margin as before

(this is a very simplified example ofcourse, but the concept remains)

Vettel is good. He knnows what suits him. And he knows how to drive it to it's best. Hamilton needs a car which suits him, but it doesn't, it's made for Rosberg and Schumacher. Same story for Kimi in Lotus and Ferrari can't upgrade their car. Have you noticed that? They get worse as the season goes on.
