All formula one fans know that Felipe Massa has been a completely different driver since his accident at the Hungarian GP in 2009. When Felipe returned in 2010 sign's where positive as he had started his season with 2 podiums. However they where his last podiums.. Felipe has been unable to get near team mate Fernando alonso ever since, it seems highly unlikely that Ferrari will resign him for 2013 and beyond, If he doesn't receive contract with Ferrari next year i don't see him in the sport. If he was to stay in the sport next year with another team who?
it's possible that he and the driver most likely to take his spot Sauber's Sergio perez make a swap, could Felipe end up back at sauber where he started his career? Heikki kovalainen could possibly take Felipe's Ferrari seat next year, although this is unlikely the fin's contract with Catherham is up at the end of the season, it's possible Ferrari may have a chat to him after all Heiki has experience with a big team (having driven for Mc'laren in 2008&2009) . If Ferrari choose to go for Heiki will Caterham want Massa's services? All we know is that Ferrari are on the hunt for a new driver in 2013 having offered Mark webber an contract. We will know soon on the future of felipe massa, what are your thoughts on his or Ferrari's option in 2013? If Massa can't find a seat for 2013 maybe he will join fellow Brazilian Rubens Barrichello in the indycar series, who knows.

Likewise. I think he'll probably stay but I'm not really bothered.

I can't remember a year that Felipe has been at Ferrari without these stories doing the rounds. I guess they'll end up being right one year.

when Glock handed it to Louise.

C'mon racechick I'm just having a bit of fun, Not even serious about the Glock part. That's me I make jokes and I won't change. I like to call him Louise for giggles and I mean nothing by it. If you don't take it seriously it won't bother you. We're buddies, there's no trouble here.

LOL @ DD's answer.

If Ferrari don't want him there are lots of spaces for him. I doubt he would take a back marker ride but they would trip over each other chasing him.
My point back there was that he has shown that he at least WAS capable of title contention. Look how close he got to winning the title. For some reason Kimi couldn't get to speed in that car. My guess is somehow he looks unlikely to see that kind of form again. Ferrari have had #2 drivers with worse records and kept them around.

I hope Ferrari don't keep him, I'm don't think they will, Stefano has a different management style, and it's different to the days of highly specialised resources, where they could make massive gains by setting and developing the car all around one driver (Schumacher), they don't have that scope anymore, have a fast second driver is more beneficial nowdays I think.

don't forget the year he ran the title to the last race and lost it when Glock handed it to Louise. That year his temmate the great Kimisan floundered.

And for about 30 seconds Felipe Massa was a WDC.

What a tragedy that would've been for F1...would've even made 2009 look legit.
