Kvyat out Gasly in.

A Vettel must win race.

Can Verstappen focus long enough to finish a race, or even to finish a first lap?

Power track - perfect for oil burning Merc engine. Merc 1-2?

Last race in Malaysia.

...or long enough NOT to finish someone else's race??

Not just someone else, he took out three last race! And each of them a world champion, a record of sorts I would say.

It is a shame that it will be the last time F1 visits this circuit, I think it is one of the better tracks on the calendar and Tilke's best other than Istanbul perhaps.

The circuit layout suits Mercedes better but the temperatures should be in Ferrari's favour (remember 2015 people) so it could be close, however if it rains then it will surely be Hamilton's race to lose. Whatever the weather, let's hope for a great race like it was last year for a super Sepang send-off!:wavey:

Great drive by Raikkonen, almost able to overcome the oil burn mode on the Merc. Also Vandoorne had a good lap to beat Alonso and put the McLaren in 7th.

Let's hope for some of Malaysia's famous weather to strike, and Vettel can make one of his wonder drives from the back, Bottas gets a wonder start (with THAT amazing reaction time) and plows into Hamilton at turn 1, Raikkonen moves aside for Vettel once he has reached P2 and it's game on for the season.

Or perhaps a plan 'B':

Well that was a decent race. Brilliant birthday present for Verstappen and good damage control by Vettel... although his car has somehow been totaled after the race - Pascal showed up in his Sauber Taxi to give him a lift :P Both of the Renaults seemed to struggle in this one, as did the Haas cars, despite some very aggressive driving on Magnussen's part. Bottas really doesn't appear to be top team material considering he was losing so much ground to the top four - Kimi has the excuse of not being in his prime for his times, but Bottas really should be doing better in one of the top cars - speaking of Kimi, I think he could have done brilliantly in this race if his car hadn't died before the start - not very good engine management by Ferrari. Nice to see both Mclarens cross the finish line, the Hondas seem to be getting more reliable and the Renaults more powerful. Good first performance by Gasly - no silly accidents or over driving like we've seen from some other rookies earlier in the season.

Well done Max! Great race from Seb, Ferrari defintely let both Kimi and Seb down. Great mov by Ric to stop Seb's charge and secure 3rd. Did Stroll lose focus?
