I see Vettel in front at the first corner and, barring mishaps, cruising to an easy win. Alonso will make up places at the start, Hamilton will flatter to deceive, taking himself out or someone else taking him out when he puts his nose where it doesn't belong,

Why not say you dont like Hami instead of ^^that^^

I would worry about Alonso being in the middle of Webber and Petrov at the start.

Actually don't remember when Lewis took someone out ;D I remember Webber almost taking him out twice last year at Albert Park, let's hope that Mark isn't that stupid this year

I think he might be. wonder boy is miles ahead so desperate measures may be the order of the day. Hope lewis has learnt from last year.

Sorry - you've got me wrong. I would dearly love to see Hamilton win his second WDC this year. I like his all-out style of driving but, as I said earlier in the thread, his opponents don't know when to give up and would rather take him out than let him pass. And he's also been guilty of overdriving and taking himself off.

Now, the Webber/Alonso/Petrov sandwich with Button thrown into the mix. Lipsmacking!

We've not been racing yet.

When there was kers in 2009, it did absolutely nothing, except a few passes at the start vs the cars that didnt have it and create a lot of questions.

The stalling rear wing was only exciting last yr because mclaren could use it against others...... but with everyone using it, it simply has more room for failures (right now) than to really gain from it. i think it will change, once everyone gets the hang of it, but by then it will stop being exciting......... i'm obviously being pessimistic about it, but i dont see why bring those 2 things into racing.

Is Buemi starting on hards in the race? His Q3 time was quite relatively slow...

Japan '08 all over again would do me nicely :hehe:

edit - on that note, i heard the other day that every year since 2002, the pole sitter has made it to turn 1 first...

Don't be such a killjoy :hehe:

Well, it still hasn't stopped a lot of great races! '03, '05, '06, '08, '09 and last season were all very good imo... and i'm positive we're in for another stormer in just a couple of hours now! :):D

Interesting article here with some interesting images showing the positioning of the RB front wing and where the flexing is actually occurring. Which would explain why the wing itself always passes flex tests. Sorry it's in Italian, but the pictures and graphics explain it all.

I wonder if Webber had the same nose as Vettel yesterday or if he'll get it today (well, when he makes his first tyre change)?

Just as a follow-up to the RB flexi nose :-)

Some of you may remember the picture/incident below. It's Silverstone last year when the whole RB flexing wing really started. It certainly was a very unusual way for a nose piece to fail. But with the images/graphics from the post above it sheds a new light on it.

Perhaps the solution to the RB flexiing front wing has been under our nose all time, we just didn't see it

How many Safety cars/DNF's do ya reckon we will get?

I'm tipping 2 SC's and 7 DNFs

Seems about right to me.

Thats insane and I wonder exactly where the flex is coming from ie what section? Thats basically a 'ground effects' concept.
