Why are there dots in the sea?

At first, I was surprised too, but turns out those are not dots, but circles. What they're for is still a mystery...

Perhaps the GPs were carried out on remote islands? or under the sea?

Or maybe they show MM's and BE's hideouts...

How can it, when Max lives up his own a**hole?

Well, as we all know he's a mega-a$$hole, so it's not too far fetched to assume he's got multiple a$$holes where he can hide out.

Did you find out what the circles were for?

Okay, I figured it out by reading the German description on that page!

All countries which have hosted a GP are in green. However:

"Graue Punkte auf sehr kleinen Ländern wie Andorra, Malta oder den Antillen kennzeichnen, dass hier keine Rennen stattgefunden haben."

Translation: Gray dots [i.e., our infamous A$$hole circles;-) ] on very small countries such as Andorra, Malta or the Antilles indicate that there were no GP's in those places.

Presumably this was done because you wouldn't see the green color (or lack of it) on such small countries...
