Haha! Never heard that phrase? I thought 'going like s*** of a shovel' is pretty common slang for going pretty bloody quick... either way, yeah, it's a big compliment for a racing car... :hehe::P

I can't help but feel Hirvonen deserves a championship, specially after 09 with car failures and lack of team mate support compared to Leob that year.

Anyone other than Leob will do though and Ogier is a class act, no doubt.

Just watched the highlights of the last day of the Jordan rally. Wow!
The powerstage was epic and watching the drivers push to the max is just fantastic. Ogier winning the overall rally by 2 tenths, doesn't get much closer than that in rally.

Ogier looks to be the man to stop Loebs winning ways.

Just been getting up to speed with the last week Argentina rally. Ogier has thrown away his second rally win this year, He has the pace to beat Loeb it just that he seems to that one mistake during the rally that stuffs him up. Once again we see how unlucky Petter is, I have never seen a driver so pissed off and gutted at the same time after his power steering packed up. But good to see him have a smile on his face after winning the power stage.

I see Solberg has been frozen out... damn WRC is going down the pan. Very sad compared to 10-12 years ago.

Blame Loeb for that! :D
But yes, you are right, they are losing more and more with each passing year...

It's not Loeb, it's the lack of manufacturers making competitive cars... Like i said 10 years ago you had Ford, Peugeot, Subaru, Mitsubishi, Toyota, Seat, Citroen... :( now basically only Citroen, their drivers will just win all the races next season.

Point well proven. Also, Gronholm left the sport, Burnes had a nasty sickness, McRae died... We lost both people and cars...

I don't think I could name any WRC driver now if Solberg has gone!

Changed days indeed sinnce I used to sit and root for Tommi Makinen and Richard Burns. Last time I watched any WRC action, there seemed to be far too many tarmac rallies and not enough of what could be called "traditional" rally stages.
