V8 supercars has announced it will be racing aussie V8SC at the Circuit of the Americas in Texas with a 5 year deal starting in 2013. Not to sure that the Americans will take to the Australian Championship, but everytime they try to send V8SC overseas it doesn't really take off, China, Bahrain and Abu Dhabi didn't really pull the crowds in. Anyway very interesting and will wait and see how it goes in 2013.

I hope it does well...Americans love action packed racing and V8SC has that...

Lowndes clean sweep at Ipswich this weekend.:D Bad luck for Whincup in the Sunday race and very unlike Triple 8 to make a mistake by leaving some sort of cover in around the engine. Anyway it puts both Whincup and Lowndes closer together in the Championship and with the endurance races coming up, Lowndes has a good opportunity to close right up on Whincup. Its hard to look pass Lowndes and Skaife for Phillip Island and Bathurst especially in the best car out there.

I really like this idea for a race weekend but I don't like how this could play a massive importance to the drivers championship, I wouldn't be to happy if I was leading the drivers Championship and then your international co-driver goes and crashes the car and get no points for championship. I think V8SC should just give out massive prize money instead of drivers championship points. Anyway it will be awesome watching that race weekend, I love the endurance season, Phillip Island, Bathurst, Gold Coast, Can't wait

I don't like the idea of Enduros in the series for that reason period! The nay reason they exist is to fit in the Bathurst 1000. Imagine Bathurst over 2 races in a weekend.. it would be an outcry!

The thing is Bathurst wasn't in the series many years ago, and that is the way it should be now. Winning Bathurst is a big enough incentive as it is without championship points and most drivers and fans agree that Bathurst shouldn't be involved in the Championship but just as a race where you give it your all to win. As for Bathurst being a Clipsal 500 or Sydney 500 format, there would be masssive outcry. Peter Brock would be turning in his grave if that happened.

Bathurst will be televised on SPEED in its entirety first time. I've never watched the race, maybe this a good enticement.

I also think that SPEED are doing the Gold Coast 600 aswell, Now that could be a crash central with all those international drivers on the Gold Coast streets. :hehe:
