I think we've had a some good Formula One seasons recently.

Yeah 07, 08 were good seasons in my book and 09 is turning out to be very exciting!

Not saying we don't have great racing. It's just too often we see cars forming trains. It irks me watching races like Bahrain last weekend where drivers like Vettel get stuck behind others constantly. Its boring to watch races like that. Overtaking in F1 just still isn't up to scratch, turbulence is still far too present.

Fundamentally Formula One will never live up to Moto GP in terms of the number of passes per race. Mind you F1 isn't simply about that, I do agree it would be amazing to have an exciting race every race, but its just not possible. The past few seasons have been fine though.

True, I would never expect any form of racing on 4 wheels to be like that. But I do hope F1 can at least reach a level of overtaking that we seen in the 90's.

not true Karts are like bike racing for passing

as for the MotoGP yesterday, that race was pretty tame for excitment if you ask me. The racing wasnt close enough and we didnt have any tussle for the win in the closing stages. The 250 race before it was much more exciting.

Rossi was a star ! :cloud9: But I agree once he got the lead the excitement went. I think moto gp doesnt look as close as it has in the past few years.

MotoGP has been a real letdown in the past few years I reckon. The switch to 800 4-strokes didn't benefit the sport at all. Should have stuck with the 990s or even the 500 2-strokes!

I also think that MotoGP might be suffering from a lack of top notch talent. Only Stoner and Rossi stick out as great talent (not taking anything away from the Lorenzos and the Pedrosas of the grid, but they cant hack it week in week out like CS and VR can do). Yet I can only think of two great battles between them - Spain 07 and US 08. Compare that to the Gibernau Rossi days on the 990s and it doesn't come out too great... :(

They should let him go out on a Moto GP bike on his own, then we might get rid of him.

Lorenzo is a bit special, I think FIAT Yamaha have the two best riders in Moto GP atm

I dunno, 2 of the 3 i'd say. Stoner is up there.

See I'm in the anti-Stoner brigade. I think as long as he is on a Ducatti that no-one else seems to be able to ride, he looks amazing but get him on a Yamaha next to Rossi and Lorenzo, he would look a bit more average
