Renault have confirmed that the chassis which was driven to victory by Fernando Alonso in 2006 is to be retained and housed at their ‘Histoire et Collection’ heritage collection in Paris.
History was made when the same chassis was used throughout the entire season. The R26-03 took seven victories, six pole positions, the drivers’ title and helped to win the manufacturers title. It covered over 11,300km through the course of the season.
