Honda ponder Super Aguri future

According to British newspaper The Guardian, Super Aguri boss Aguri Suzuki has flown to Tokyo in an attempt to secure his team s financial future.

In 2007, the Super Aguri team had a budget of just £35 million ($70 million) and finishing ninth in the constructors championship with four points. It is understood that Suzuki has flown to Japan to hold talks with Honda about the future of his team and Honda are keen to see both of 2007 s drivers Anthony Davidson and Takuma Sato continue on with the Super Aguri team for 2008 if the necessary financial arrangements can be made.

It is a chaotic time for the small Japanese team Super Aguri s winter has not gone to plan with financial problems forcing them to cut their testing program short, and problems with parts supply. Their situation has been so tumultuous that some have predicted that they won t make it to the opening Grand Prix of the season in Australia and it is believed that the current talks between Suzuki and Honda will determine what future Super Aguri has in the sport, if any.
