Man is it me or did Paul Ricard look like a dump back then? Just the patches of tarmac etc.

Yeah , its amazing to look at the tracks back then, especially the ones that were built in the 60's or earlier. Compared with today's tracks they're really primitive. I guess the same is happening with all/most sports venues these days, you've got to have a fancy building as well as a nice sporting field. Heck look at all those olympic venues.
