With Ferrari and Honda already expressing interest in Brawn joining their team when he returns from his sabbatical, it seems McLaren also now want a piece of the action. It is rumoured that Brawn is keen to return to Formula 1, however he would prefer a team based in the UK. McLaren could be that team.
According to the newspaper Bild, “McLaren could offer a multitude of projects that Ross could lead.” Jean Todt, Ferrari’s boss, is hoping that Brawn will speak to Ferrari before making any decisions. “We agreed with him that should he decide to come back and remain in the business, he would come to me first to discuss it together,” Todt said.
