It's pretty sad when you can't have any privacy, in times like Schumy's family must be facing!!

There are fears over stolen medical data for Michael Schumacher after burglars reportedly broke into the office of one of his top doctors.

Dr Johannes Peil, who has been one of Schumacher’s physicians for many years, had his surgery in Bad Nauheim in Germany broken into by burglars.

Money, perfume and prescription forms were among the items stolen from the surgery, but it is a laptop which was also taken that is raising particular concerns.

The fears reportedly centre around whether any stolen medical data may reveal the true extent of Schumacher’s condition.

According to a report in the Daily Mail, the clinic in Bad Nauheim in Germany was broken into between Saturday afternoon and Monday morning through an open cellar door.

Only last year a helicopter rescue worker who treated Schumacher hanged himself in a Zurich jail cell after being arrested on suspicion of stealing details of his condition which he allegedly tried to sell to news organisations.

The 60-year-old Peil, who also reportedly looks after Mercedes driver Nico Rosberg, is part of a team of 15 medics who care for the legendary F1 driver at his home by Lake Geneva.

The break in at Peil’s surgery comes just a week after Schumacher's Norwegian holiday home was sold.

Petter Birkrem, from the estate agent handling the sale, described the property to Norway's DN newspaper as Schumacher's "refuge from the media pursuit he has suffered throughout his life".

Schumacher spent months in a coma following the accident before being transferred to a rehab clinic in Lausanne, Switzerland. He was then moved to a medical suite built into his mansion in September.

Hopefully there are no files related to Michael on the laptop.

Good point!!

Hopefully, after that "holy impersonator" was caught at the hospital trying to sneak in,
the family has taken the precautions necessary to keep Schumi's privacy intact!
