Its what the IT nerds call a bot trying to hack into your racechick, it has happened to a few of us now. I first thought someone was trying to hack into my account but it wasn't the case.

This happened to me the first time I logged in this morning. Didn't happen when I logged in about 5 minutes ago though.

This is still happening on a regular basis.

When I logged in just now I typed in the correct username and password twice and still got asked to enter a security encryption. I know that I didn't make a mistake with my user name or password as I am extremely careful when entering these.

If this is someone muck around can they grow up or can admin trace their IP address and block them from the site. If it is a bot is there anything that can be done as it is extremely annoying?

It just seems to happen now and then. Here's what I do. Write your password down so you dont ever forget it (thats in case anything goes wrong). Now put the forum into your favourites with the little box ticked that says ' log me in everytime'. Then you just click the favourites icon and your in :D Easy. Problem is the odd occassion when you randomly dont get in..hence password written down :) . i think this works.

I use the same password else where and have never had any problems and I already have the site saved in my favourites. IE clears all passwords everytime I switch off anyway and I regularly clear the cache to get rid of all temporary files (which includes all logins).

My concern is that I'll end up being locked out either by a bot or a sad weirdo with too much time on their hands and low IQ.

Can you not save your password for this site? That way your PC / laptop will remember it for you and it'll save you typing it in. Just a thought.

I can but I've been told by someone in the know that it is not a good idea, but this just skirts round the issue of someone or bots trying to force peoples accounts. It doesn't solve the problem, just hides it.
