I don't see why people bash IE. I've used it for years and have never had any problems.

I don't use IE because it still isn't standards compliant, even IE9 incorrectly displays w3c compliant code; it doesn't work well with percentage widths', and barely acknowledges the ROWSPAN attribute. As a web designer, it's incredibly infuriating as I have to write a separate stylesheet for IE as the vast majority of people still use IE because it comes pre-installed with Windows!

They have to provide a screen with options to download other browsers, they are not pre-installed on the system!

The only time I use IE is to download Firefox on a new computer and for testing website designs for cross browser compatibility!

Because the average PC user is not aware of what's available, many people assume that IE is the only option or have never used other browsers so don't realise how poor IE really is!

I used a Mac once. Never doing it again as long as I have breath in my body! I've had the same PC for about 4 years and aside from getting a virus I've never had any problems with teh machine or the software.
